Who we are

Sylenze was born from two mothers asking the same question:
Why can’t we keep our children’s memories — safely and simply?

Together, we combined our backgrounds in education, music, tech, and family life to create a platform that gives schools confidence, and gives parents something they’ll treasure forever.

Elaine Brett– Co-founder & CEO

Elaine is a mum of two and a lifelong problem-solver. With a degree in computer science and a 20-year career in the tech industry — most recently in fast-paced startups — she’s spent her life building clever digital solutions that make life easier.

But it was her experience as a parent that lit the spark for Sylenze. After years of missed memories at school events (thanks to filming bans and privacy rules), she saw a way to fix it — safely, simply, and with care.

"Tech should serve families — not confuse them. I built Sylenze to give parents peace of mind, and schools a solution they can trust."

Chloe Stowers-Petrova – Co-founder & Schools Lead

Chloe is a teacher, a classical musician, and a new mum. Before entering education, she spent years supporting musicians and orchestras as they toured the world — building deep experience in organisation, logistics, and creative storytelling.

Now, she brings that same heart and clarity to the classroom — and to Sylenze. As someone who’s worked in schools and understands safeguarding inside-out, she’s passionate about helping schools share what matters, without fear or extra workload.

"As a teacher and mum, I know how precious these moments are. Sylenze makes it possible to honour every family’s wishes while still sharing the magic."

Why It Works

  • Tech expertise + school insight = the perfect fit.

  • A shared passion for child safety and parental connection.

  • A platform built by people who understand both sides of the school gate.

Sylenze is where safeguarding, trust, and memories come together.
