Acceptable Use Policy

This policy covers everyone who uses a Sylenze surface: school staff, parents, investors and Sylenze staff.

You may only use the service for its intended purpose: schools publishing safeguarded event media, and invited families previewing, purchasing and streaming that media. You must not attempt to download, record, unblur, scrape or redistribute content, or to identify a protected member from a redacted file.

School staff may only upload recordings the organisation has the right to hold, and only of events the organisation organised. Login details must not be shared. We can suspend an account, withdraw content or refuse a purchase where this policy is broken.

A breach is logged on the audit trail and, where a child is involved, reported to the organisation as the data controller.
